Worcestershire Cricket Society

Background

The Society begins its tenth year of Winter Cricket Evenings on Tuesday October 14th and will continue on the second Tuesday of each month ending on March 10th 2009.

Following the success of last year's Spring Outing trip to Durham we repeated the week-end break format, travelling to London on Friday to arrive at the Wisley Garden Centre in time for lunch and an afternoon in the gardens. On the Saturday morning we had a guided tour of the Oval Cricket Ground after which those who wished to spend the rest of the day in central London were dropped off by the coach before the rest of us returned to our hotel where there were full leisure facilities for the slightly more energetic and comfortable bars and restaurant for those who chose the "chill out" option! On the Sunday morning we left the hotel by coach at 10.0am for the day at Hampton Court Palace and Gardens leaving at 4pm for the return journey to Worcester. Whilst the weather was mixed it was very kind to us with the worst of the rain restricting itself to periods when we were in our coach. Again the coach was fully booked within days of the notice being sent to members of the Society.

Membership Details

Membership fees are £12 for a season (£18 for joint membership) and non-members will be charged £2.50 per evening, if room allows.
